چکیده
Objective: To compare the outcome of consumption a single versus split-dose polyethylene glycol electrolyte solution in patients undergoing colonoscopy morning. Methodology: A randomised controlled trial was conducted at Department Gastroenterology, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Lahore, from April to July 2021. total 274 colonoscopy, who fulfilled selection criteria were included through "non-probability, consecutive sampling technique". The randomly divided into two groups. In group A, dose PEG administered. Group B administered split which be consumed parts, 1st evening before and second Efficacy labelled if adequate cleaning intestines BBPS score ≥6 achieved during colonoscopy. Results: group, mean age 45.15 ± 13.37 years, 68 (49.6%) male, 69 (50.4%) female, efficacy procedure 54 (39.4%) patients, 4.99 0.90. 49.85 11.38 56 (40.9%) 81 (59.1%) 137 (100%) 7.61 0.49. difference both groups highly significant (p-value < 0.0001). Conclusion: is thus more efficacious acceptable than given for bowel preparation.

This single center, randomized, and controlled study aimed to compare the effectiveness and safety of polyethylene glycol electrolyte lavage (PEG-EL) solution and colonic hydrotherapy (CHT) for bowel preparation before colonoscopy. A total of 196 eligible outpatients scheduled for diagnostic colonoscopy were randomly assigned to the PEG-EL (n = 102) or CHT (n = 94) groups. Primary outcome measu...
متن کاملA Randomized Prospective Study of Bowel Preparation for Colonoscopy with Low-Dose Sodium Phosphate Tablets versus Polyethylene Glycol Electrolyte Solution
Optimal bowel preparation is essential for the safety and outcome of colonoscopy. A solution containing polyethylene glycol (PEG) is often used as a bowel cleansing agent, but some patients are intolerant of PEG, and this may lead to discontinuation of colonoscopy. Sodium phosphates (NaP) tablets are designed to improve patient acceptance and compliance. The objective of this study was to compa...

The aim of this study was to compare gastric residual volume (GRV) in patients given a split-dose versus a conventional single-dose of polyethylene glycol (PEG) preparation before undergoing anesthetic colonoscopy. Methods. In a prospective observational study, we assessed GRV in outpatients undergoing same-day anesthetic gastroscopy and colonoscopy between October 8 and December 30 of 2016. Ou...
